And we are off! We are at full speed ahead on the Universal Beauty roller coaster ride! We are doing so many amazing things.

Where do I begin-
As our first quarter ends, here are some highlights from our Men’s Division – Beard Guyz triumphs as a leading men’s grooming brand with high-quality yet accessible products that all beard enthusiasts can indulge in. The brand’s latest product innovations include the No Flakes Rinse-Free Foam and Matte Styling Clay, now available at Walmart locations nationwide. Additionally, we are fostering strategic partnerships with sports organizations building on the success of last year’s initiatives with established and emerging professional sports leagues, including American Cornhole League (ACL), Major League Rugby (MLR), and NASCAR Xfinity Race.

Van Der Hagen – the leading safety razor brand – continues to drive double-digit growth. The brand drives innovation and recently introduced Eucalyptus and Whiskey Tobacco scented shave soaps and Bump Defense shave cream to reduce razor burn and prevent in-grown hair. Moreover, we expanded the brand into the female shaving category by introducing Lady Van Der Hagen, a line of razors, cartridges, and shave creams explicitly designed for women. The complete collection is already shoppable at Giant/Martins and Big Y stores, and Hy-Vee’s stores will soon be opened, and it continues to expand nationwide. Lastly, the brand is developing a new ergonomic safety razor that will be coming to market in Q4 ’24.

In our multicultural division, we are thrilled to announce a significant milestone for Jamaican Mango & Lime, marketing 30+1 years of excellence. We are also excited to share that we have partnered with the renowned Takisha Sturdivant-Drew, who will serve as our celebrity brand ambassador. Together, we will be working on our innovative Smooth Moisture line, including the ground-breaking Thermal Strengthening Silk Press System, clinically tested to strengthen hair up to 36%.

Our AMAZING Via Freestyle, a braid maintenance product line that has been a big hit among our customers, is now conveniently available at Dollar General. We are also excited to announce our partnership with Target, through which we will be introducing our new Hair Slugging Sets.

As we celebrate JML’s 30+1 year-long celebration, we started the year with an exclusive pop-up exhibit at The Black Hair Experience. We turned up at the Homecoming of the Bronner Bros show in ATL, and hit the main stage as Bad Boy Roy used our award-winning “Braids Your Way” line to take braids to a new level. Our HBCU campus sampling tour is in full swing, and the World Natural Hair Show did not disappoint. We collaborated with Celebrity Braider, Lecca, to discuss braid maintenance and introduce our 5-n-1 Loc Down Gel, a product designed for locs, braids, twists and edges.
